I will
start the Stenton family with Martin, he was born December 1794 at
Hemingfield and worked as a labourer. Wife not known as yet, but
they had a son called Moses, he was born November 1824 and his wife
was called Ann. Moses was a coal miner, and he died aged 69 in
1892. One of there sons Walter was born in 1858 at Hoyland and he
married Emma. Walter was a labourer down the mines. There children
were Elizabeth Ann born at Belmont Yard Hoyland, James, Henry,
May, Gertrude (my Great Grandma), Agnes, Arthur, James and Beatrice
Lillian. That is all I know at the moment about the Stenton family.
