Welcome to the Life and Times of our Ancestors.

 This website is about the Wilmot and Farmer family and about Hatfield, the village where we live. Hatfield is near Doncaster, in the old West Riding of Yorkshire. It is also the place where Penda the 7th century pagan King of Mercia, defeated the powerful King Edwin of Northumbria, in the battle of Hatfield Chace in 633.
